How to apply Saddle soapUpdated 23 days ago
1. Remove Surface Dirt
Use a soft brush or dry cloth to wipe away loose dirt and dust from the leather.
2. Dampen the Cloth or Sponge
Lightly wet your cloth or sponge with water. It should be damp, not soaking.
3. Apply Saddle Soap
Rub the damp cloth/sponge onto the saddle soap to create a light lather.
4. Clean the Leather
Gently rub the lather into the leather using circular motions. Focus on one section at a time.
5. Wipe Off Excess
Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to remove any leftover soap and dirt.
6. Dry the Leather
Wipe the leather with a dry towel and let it air dry naturally (away from direct sunlight or heat).
7. Condition the Leather (Recommended)
Once dry, apply a leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
Tips & Warnings:
Test on a small hidden area first to check for colour change.
Don’t use saddle soap on suede or nubuck.
Overuse can dry out leather—use sparingly, only when needed.
